The Monrovia Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Purdue Polytechnic 56-8 at home. The result was nothing new for Monrovia, who have now won five contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Monrovia had a senior duo take command as Brayton Belcher rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per carry and Dominic Kindle rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Belcher was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards.
Monrovia has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Purdue Polytechnic, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
Monrovia will face off against Speedway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Purdue Polytechnic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
