Sidney has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Xenia Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Monday, Sidney was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-64 to Bath. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (59), Sidney still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Xenia humbled Piqua with a 65-38 victory. With that victory, Xenia brought their scoring average up to 55.5 points per game.
Xenia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nataiya Madison out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayler Elliott, who scored 20 points.
Their wins bumped Sidney to 3-1 and Bath to 3-0.
Everything came up roses for Sidney against Xenia in their previous matchup back in February as the team secured a 66-37 win. Will Sidney repeat their success, or does Xenia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
