The biggest upset of the week belonged to Waterville, who took down 27th ranked Waterville, 26-21.
Nokomis was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to 10th in B Pine Tree. Earlier in the week, the Warriors triumphed over Camden Hills 6-0.
Hampden's dynamic duo of Matt Martin and Matt Haws proved tough for Mount Desert Island to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Martin threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns and Haws had 50 yards receiving. Logan Steward helped Hampden's passing attack out by catching two balls for 41 yards.
Noah Kershner was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 226 yards on 32 carries as Nokomis bested the Trojans. Teammate Devin Bussell added to the ground attack by rushing for 22 yards.
Mt. Blue's Jodran Whitney and Cam Abbott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Whitney has thrown for 986 yards this season, while Abbott, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 438 yards. Kershner from Harold Pratt's team leads the league in rushing with 892 yards.
A big matchup in B Pine Tree this week will be when Brewer takes on Hampden. The Witches are in fourth place, while Harry Mccluskey's team is in third place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Gardiner takes on Leavitt. The Tigers have allowed 98 points this season, while the Hornets have given up 66. Gardiner allowed 0 points last week as it beat Madison/Carrabec.
The Cougars extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Morse, 42-13. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
