It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Inglemoor had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bellevue Wolverines, sneaking past 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on six straight.
Cooper Richter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Inglemoor got a great performance from Brody Ledger as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Ledger a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Benjamin Koppes was excellent, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Inglemoor's record now sits at 16-6. As for Bellevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
Inglemoor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Capital at 10:00 a.m. on the 24th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.8, the Cougars 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Bellevue, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Liberty on the 16th.
