The Centennial Cougars are taking a road trip to  face off against the Moorhead Spuds  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Moorhead took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Centennial, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, Centennial was able to grind out a solid  win over Osseo, taking the game  8-3.
Meanwhile, Moorhead was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Bemidji.
 Moorhead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carson Heinsch, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base.
 Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Moorhead, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
 Centennial came out on top in a nail-biter against Moorhead when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, sneaking past  5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
