The Turner Lions''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 63-28 loss at the hands of White. Turner has struggled against White recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Turner got some senior leadership from Jose Elisondo who gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns and Jonathan Moreno who rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Turner's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for White, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Newman Smith the next time they take the field. White will host Newman Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Turner will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
