After losing to the Delavan Panthers the last time they met, the Peoria Heights Patriots decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Peoria Heights came out on top against Delavan by a score of 47-40 on Saturday.
Delavan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Hansen, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Noreuil, who scored nine points.
The win got Peoria Heights back to even at 9-9. As for Delavan, they bumped their record down to 10-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Peoria Heights' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Farmington at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Farmington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Delavan will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lewistown at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Lewistown has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
