Bethel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from H. Howard, who scored 15 points along with seven steals. The game was Howard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of D. Stricklen, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Bethel's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Richmond, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Bethel will head out on the road to face off against Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alameda knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Bethel likes a good challenge. As for Richmond, they will face off against McKinleyville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McKinleyville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richmond in California (McKinleyville is ranked 332nd, while Richmond is ranked 1359th).
