Pungo Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddox Lee, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Lee hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Van Staalduinen, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Ridgecroft got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Antron Gray out in front who scored 19 points along with six assists and two steals. Baylor Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Pungo Christian Academy's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-3. As for Ridgecroft, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Pungo Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgecroft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 369 points over their last five contests.
