Pullman hasn't had much luck against Deer Park recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Greyhounds will square off against the Stags at 11:00 a.m. Pullman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.1 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Pullman was able to grind out a solid win over Moscow, taking the game 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.
Bailee Randall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Ady Sanford was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since April 3rd. Taylor Cromie was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Meanwhile, Deer Park made easy work of West Valley on Tuesday and carried off a 14-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Stags, who have now won 15 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Like Pullman, Deer Park also got a great game from a two-way player: Hailey Thompson. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Thompson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Deer Park got a massive performance out of Kapri Bailey, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Aly Ellingson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Deer Park lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in five consecutive contests.
Pullman's record is now 13-3. As for Deer Park, their record now sits at 16-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Pullman hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Deer Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pullman suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Deer Park in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
