Hudson and Greenville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Hudson Blue Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greenville Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Hudson was able to grind out a solid victory over Chatham, taking the game 51-38.
Hudson found their leader in underclassman Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jackson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Logue, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Greenville beat Coxsackie-Athens 47-35 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Greenville.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Greenville, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
