There's no place like home for the Batesville Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by South Decatur at home to the tune of 54-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Batesville has posted since November 2, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Batesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Gesell, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Maddie Haskamp was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Batesville has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for South Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
Batesville will square off against South Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Dearborn has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for South Decatur, they will face off against Edinburgh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edinburgh has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21.
