Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whites Creek). They breezed by the Maplewood Panthers to the tune of 78-46 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cobras, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Whites Creek to victory were Eric Bryson and Noah Hughes. Bryson went 9 for 13 on his way to 24 points, while Hughes went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. That's the most assists Hughes has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Michael Palmer, who went 5 of 6 en route to 10 points and three blocks.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Whites Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Whites Creek pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Maplewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whites Creek will challenge Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Maplewood, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Maplewood Panthers take on the Overton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
