North Brunswick is 9-1 against South Brunswick since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The North Brunswick Scorpions will head out on the road to  face off against  the South Brunswick Cougars at 6:00  p.m. North Brunswick is hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
 Last Tuesday, North Brunswick lost to Laney on the road  by a decisive  43-27 margin. While losing is never fun, North Brunswick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 313th, while Laney is ranked 147th).
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Dari?elle Young, who  scored six points along with four  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Samaya Hankins, who  scored two points along with five  assists.
 Meanwhile, South Brunswick's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Hoggard 57-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points South Brunswick has scored all season.
 North Brunswick has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost seven of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for South Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
 North Brunswick was able to grind out a solid  win over South Brunswick in their previous meeting  on January 5th, winning  45-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Brunswick since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
