Having struggled with four losses in a row, Evergreen Park turned things around against Chicago Washington on Thursday. They blew past the Patriots 8-2. Considering the Mustangs have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Evan Snyder-Murphy tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last five games.
At the plate, Jack Rourke and Carlos Flores did most of the damage at the plate: Rourke got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Flores went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Rourke has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadyn Kummer, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Evergreen Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Blue Island Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-5 to Crete-Monee.
Blue Island Eisenhower saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alejandro Correa, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Evergreen Park's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Blue Island Eisenhower's pitching crew better be locked in on Monday. Evergreen Park hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for Blue Island Eisenhower, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Evergreen Park in the park?
