Bishop Canevin has gone a perfect 3-0 against Northgate recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Bishop Canevin is taking a road trip to square off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m.

Bishop Canevin fell victim to Chartiers-Houston and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Buccaneers. The Crusaders just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Northgate won against Carlynton on Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Northgate was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Rochester. The contest marked the Flames' most dominant win of the season so far.

Johna Abramowicz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Abramowicz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Gracie Auth was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Bayleigh Hooper, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Northgate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Northgate and bumps their season record up to 3-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11.5 hits in those games compared to only 4.67 in the others. As for Bishop Canevin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bishop Canevin took their win against Northgate when the teams last played back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 20-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Canevin since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
