If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Fairfield/Augusta. They will be playing at home against Wolf Point/Frazer at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
Fairfield/Augusta came into their this week averaging 47.14 points per game, but Fairfield/Augusta fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They ended up forfeiting their matchup against North Toole County 0-2 last Saturday. The low total for Fairfield/Augusta limited their streak of high-flying scores to seven in a row.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Wolf Point/Frazer, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They lost to Cut Bank by a decisive 7-27 margin.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see if Fairfield/Augusta are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting game than their last) when the teams meet up.
