Basketball Recap: Jackson Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jackson Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over the Colon Magi on Wednesday. This was payback for the Royals, who suffered a 77-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jackson Christian pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Colon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Christian will be home for the holidays to greet North Adams-Jerome at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson Christian's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so North Adams-Jerome's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Colon, they and Climax-Scotts will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Climax-Scotts will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Colon surely won't give up without a fight.
