The Alliance Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the North Platte Bulldogs. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Alliance had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gering on Friday.
The losing side was boosted by Jaelynne Clarke, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 8 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Hudson, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, North Platte suffered a tough 51-25 defeat at the hands of Omaha Westside on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that North Platte has lost by exactly 26 points.
Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Alliance beat North Platte 49-38 when the teams last played back in January. Does Alliance have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Platte turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
