There's no place like home for the Longview Lobos, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Hallsville with a 55-49 victory on Friday. Given Longview's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Hallsville is ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Longview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Davis Justice, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Justice has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Blandburg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Longview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for Hallsville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.
