The Pershing County Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Incline 60-14 on the road. Considering Pershing County has won five games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Pershing County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raegan Burrows, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The matchup was Burrows' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anna Happy, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
The victory for Pershing County keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. As for Incline, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pershing County will face off against Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Mountain's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Pershing County's offense will have their work cut out for Pershing County. Incline won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sierra Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Sierra Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Tuesday.
