Classical has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Solomon Gorillas at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Classical posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Centre 69-41 on the road. The victory was just what Classical needed coming off of a 70-46 loss in their prior match.
Classical's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Wilkey led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Charlie Graham was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Solomon beat Herington 53-44 on Monday. The victory was just what Solomon needed coming off of a 60-40 loss in their prior contest.
Classical pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Solomon, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.
Classical took their victory against Solomon when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 67-41. With Classical ahead 39-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
