Warner is 0-1 against Prague since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warner Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Prague Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Warner is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Warner's 8-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Keys by a score of 28-26.
Warner's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Austin Spradlin, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and Logan Collins who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown. Spradlin is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last five games he's played. Another big playmaker for Warner was Reed Pickering, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Warner's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ty Vinson and Lubbock Drake who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Prague put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against Sequoyah as Prague made off with a 47-21 victory. The result was nothing new for Prague, who have now won four matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Prague's win bumped their season record to 7-0 while Warner's loss dropped theirs to 2-5.
Warner came up short against Prague in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 7-0. Can Warner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
