The Carolina Academy Bobcats entered their tilt with the Conway Christian Eagles with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Carolina Academy blew past Conway Christian 61-34 at home. The win was all the more spectacular given Carolina Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Conway Christian is ranked 17th).
When it comes to explaining why Conway Christian lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Wyatt Polatty. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points. Polatty scored a full 76.5% of Conway Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Carolina Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Conway Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Carolina Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on King's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Conway Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Southeastern Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m.
