Jared McEwen and Blake Roberts provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Henderson County. The longest such play in 6A District 1 this season, the connection resulted in 51 yards.
Marshall County and Muhlenberg County played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Marshall County eventually emerging with a 20-16 victory.
Daviess County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McEwen has thrown for 400 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Roberts has 37 catches for 503 yards. Chase Lecroy leads the league in rushing with 295 yards.
The top two teams in 6A District 1 will face off this week when first place Marshall County takes on second place Henderson County. The Marshals beat Muhlenberg County last week, while the Colonels bested Daviess County.
