Baseball Recap: Browne Wins Going Away Against Peoria

Browne won the last time they faced Peoria and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Browne Bruins put the hurt on the Peoria Panthers with a sharp 12-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Browne got a great performance from Anthony Salazar as he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Erubiel Delgado was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Josmel Cruz Meza, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Browne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peoria only posted an OBP of .310.

Browne's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Peoria, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Browne will welcome Cibola at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoria, they will venture away from home to take on Cactus Shadows at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
