The Culleoka Warriors managed to keep up with the Marshall County Tigers until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Culleoka took a serious blow against Marshall County, falling 76-44. While losing is never fun, Culleoka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Marshall County is ranked 81st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marshall County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamahl Gentry, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jabrae Howard, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Culleoka has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Marshall County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Culleoka will head out on the road to face off against Moore County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
