The Golden West Trailblazers will face off against the El Diamante Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Diamante took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Golden West, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Golden West really took it to Monache for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won four matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Jayden Najera had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 438 yards and seven TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 44 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August. Cadillac Pina was another key player, picking up 191 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Golden West's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Isaac Carmona refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself.
Meanwhile, El Diamante was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Redwood, falling 61-14. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 712th, while the Rangers are ranked 84th).
Golden West will have to keep a close watch on Nolan (Gauge) Rivas and Javier Gutierrez, a pair of players who had a big impact on El Diamante's prior game. Rivas threw for 146 yards and one TD, while Gutierrez picked up 107 receiving yards and one score.
Golden West's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for El Diamante, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Golden West has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 298.9 passing yards per game. It's a different story for El Diamante, though, as they've been averaging only 82.7 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Everything came up roses for Golden West against El Diamante in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 62-0 victory. Will the Trailblazers repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
