Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.), 34-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Sebastian Franck-love in the first quarter, the Mustangs led 14-0 at the half.
Mira Costa expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. MC scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Franck-love.
The Manhattan Beach school entered the contest giving up 21.8 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding the Sea Hawks well below their season average of 29.2 points scored per game.
With the win Mira Costa extended its winning streak to three games.
