It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the West Blocton Tigers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Montgomery Catholic on Friday, falling 48-7. The low total for West Blocton limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Montgomery Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Mccreary out in front who threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Jj Williams, who gained 157 total yards and two touchdowns.
West Blocton's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Montgomery Catholic, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
West Blocton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Montgomery Catholic will take on T.R. Miller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
