The Monarch Coyotes can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greeley West 44-11 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Monarch also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Riley Montemayor was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brody Gray was in the mix too, providing Monarch with two touchdowns.
Monarch now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Greeley West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
Monarch will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Silver Creek is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Greeley West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Erie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Erie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Greeley West likes a good challenge.
