Fulton dropped their record down to 16-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the North Callaway Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Hornets haven't been shut out since back in April.

As for North Callaway, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Fulton since April 17, 2018.

For North Callaway's part, the result came thanks to Keaton Bell's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

On the hitting side, North Callaway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Sheets, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Tucker Sheets, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Fulton will be playing at home against South Callaway at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Callaway, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Southern Boone on the 10th.
