The West Lauderdale Knights lost against the Scott Central Rebels last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Lauderdale fell to Scott Central 34-28.
It was another big night for Ashanti Murrell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Scott Central. That makes it three consecutive games in which Murrell has scored at least 25% of Scott Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Body, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three steals.
West Lauderdale has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Scott Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
West Lauderdale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Terry at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. Scott Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sebastopol at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Sebastopol is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
