Othello proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by 11) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Ellensburg Bulldogs  6-4. The  victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won five  games in a row.
 Mario Salazar Iii was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Salazar Iii was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hilario Gonzalez Iv, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Othello's record now sits at 14-3. As for Ellensburg, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-7.
Othello will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
