After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Everman, the Wyatt Chaparrals were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took down Trimble Tech 49-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wyatt also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Wyatt was led to victory by Javia Lane and Jordyn Lee Mathis. Lane scored ten points along with four steals, while Lee Mathis scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Lee Mathis pulled down eight or more rebounds. Tianna Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Wyatt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Trimble Tech, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-16.
Wyatt will square off against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Trimble Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Side at 7:30 p.m.
