Platte/Geddes is 0-9 against Winner since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Winner Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Platte/Geddes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Winner is ranked 30th).
Platte/Geddes' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bon Homme.
Meanwhile, Winner put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 45-20 margin over McLaughlin. Winner pushed the score to 41-7 by the end of the third, a deficit McLaughlin cut but never quite recovered from.
Winner found their leader in underclassman Kylie Sachtjen, who scored 13 points along with eight steals. Sachtjen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cici Watson, who scored six points.
Platte/Geddes' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Winner, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
