The Lake Mary Rams lost against the Oviedo Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Mary was outmatched by Oviedo on the road and fell 68-40. While losing is never fun, Lake Mary can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Oviedo is ranked 13th).
Caleb Pennyfeather was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 blocks for Oviedo. Pennyfeather is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Bryant, who scored 13 points.
Lake Mary's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oviedo, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Lake Mary will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Colonial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games. As for Oviedo, they will take on Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Orlando Christian Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
