It was a good run, but the Iberia Rangers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost to Plato on the road by a decisive 65-50 margin. Iberia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Iberia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Edwards, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Kaye Humphrey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Iberia's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Plato, their win was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iberia will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plato will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th.
