Hopefully Gulf Coast is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Winter Springs in Florida (Gulf Coast is ranked 93rd, while Winter Springs is ranked 527th).
Gulf Coast has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Monsignor Pace by a score of 42-39.
Despite their loss, Gulf Coast saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mackenzie Mcmaster, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Lilly Fultz, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Winter Springs had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 57-30 victory over Fort Myers on the road. Winter Springs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Gulf Coast's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Winter Springs, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
