The Fairlawn Jets were the 47-37 winner over the Triad Cardinals when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fairlawn fell just short of Triad by a score of 44-41. Fairlawn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Triad can attribute much of their success to Ashlyn McCoy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Lemay, who scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds.
Fairlawn's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Triad, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Fairlawn's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Anna at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Anna is ranked 245th, while Fairlawn is ranked 251st). Triad is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Fairbanks at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th.
