Basketball Recap: Pendleton Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pendleton had won four straight games and Brice Bolt did his part to make it five on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took their game with ease, bagging an 84-55 win over the Crescent Tigers with plenty of help from Bolt, who shot 7-for-10 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double with 36 points and nine boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least 16 points.

Another player making a difference was Dax Allen, who posted four points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is becoming a predictor of Pendleton's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 9-12 when he doesn't).

Philip Deveaux and Owen Woods certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Deveaux went 7-for-10 en route to 14 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards, while Woods earned 18 points. Deveaux is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Colton Walker also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Pendleton's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Crescent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Pendleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crescent, they will take on Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will be up against the Razorbacks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
