Cotulla is 0-3 against Hondo since November of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cotulla Cowboys will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hondo Owls at 7:30 p.m. Hondo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cotulla, who comes in off a win.
Cotulla can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over Dilley. The win was just what Cotulla needed coming off of a 100-57 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Hondo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 66-48 bruising from Natalia.
Cotulla's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Hondo, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-21.
Cotulla ended up a good deal behind Hondo in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 51-34. Thankfully for Cotulla, Brayden Bendele (who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
