In what's become a running theme this season, the Valley Patriots gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Claude on the road to the tune of 71-36. Winning may never get old, but Valley sure is getting used to it with their 29th in a row.
Trinity Schlueter was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Anna Ferrel was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Valley pushed their record up to 29-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Claude, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Valley will head out on the road to square off against Groom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valley is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Groom in Texas (Valley is ranked 92nd, while Groom is ranked 1154th). Claude does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
