The Peachtree Ridge Lions and the Mill Creek Hawks squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Peachtree Ridge Lions had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Hawks on the road and fell 59-20. Peachtree Ridge has struggled against Mill Creek recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Peachtree Ridge's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sedric Addison, who rushed for 15 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Darnell Kelly, who threw for 293 yards and a touchdown.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mill Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Robinson, who rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Daniel Smith also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Peachtree Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Mill Creek, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Peachtree Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mill Creek will be playing at home against Camden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
