Basketball Recap: Calvary Day Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Calvary Day extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Zora Geiger. The Calvary Day Cavaliers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Long County Blue Tide 67-21 thanks in part to Geiger, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (six).

Destini Gooddine was another key player, going 8 for 18 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Calvary Day has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Long County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Calvary Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-0 win against Johnson on the 1st. Long County has also already played their next game (against Calvary Baptist), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
