Sumner waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Riverview Sharks as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The match marked the Stingrays' most dominant win of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on Sebastian Peralta, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He also stole a stolen base, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Welch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Sumner hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverview struck out nine times.

Sumner now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Sumner will face off against Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sumner's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Armwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Riverview, they will challenge Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
