After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Troy, the North Penn-Liberty Mountie were happy to have found some success on Monday. They skirted past Wellsboro 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory North Penn-Liberty has posted yet this season.
North Penn-Liberty got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Harman out in front who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Kreger, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
North Penn-Liberty pushed their record up to 7-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Wellsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn-Liberty will face off against Cowanesque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wellsboro will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th.
