The Strawn Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 57-30 loss at the hands of Rio Vista. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Strawn has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rio Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kalli West, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kati Youngberg, who scored 12 points.
Strawn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rio Vista, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Grandview the next time they take the court. Rio Vista will host Grandview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Strawn will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
