Clay was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ridgeview  on Tuesday. The Blue Devils never let the Panthers get on the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won eight contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Lukas Moore was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other pitching news, Clay got a great performance from  Rylan McMahan as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over five innings pitched.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cole Carnell, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Clay's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Clayton Hickey, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Clay's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Ridgeview,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-13.
 Looking ahead, Clay will square off against Keystone Heights at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.5, the Indians 3.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Ridgeview, they will face off against Baker County at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
