Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Basic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alvonte' Nelson, who scored ten points. Kelani Stafford was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kasire Johnson, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Todd Fox, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Basic's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Del Sol, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
Basic will square off against Green Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Green Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Del Sol, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Chaparral is ranked 67th, while Del Sol is ranked 80th).
